The South African Students Congress (SASCO) wishes to take this opportunity and commend the Joint Portfolio committee for its sterling work and due diligence in which it carried its work during the shortlisting process for the NYDA Board. SASCO continues to be a factor of youth leaders and professionals for the South African public.
We wish to take this time and congratulate our former leaders who have been shortlisted:
1. Cde Avela Mjajubana: a former DUT SRC SG & 20th NEC SASCO President (2017 – 2020)
2. Cde Karabo Mohale: a former TUT Campus SRC President & SASCO Gauteng Provincial leader (2016)
3. Cde Paballo Ponoane: a former SASCO UP Branch leader
4. Cde Molaodi Sekake: a leader of the Young Communist League of South Africa (YCLSA)
We wish to extend a congratulatory message to all shortlisted candidates and we truly believe that this seven (7) is indeed capable to rescue the state of the South African youth and champion the Youth Development in South Africa. We call on the State President Cyril Ramaphosa to prioritise ensuring that the board is renewed, and it brings a true New Dawn.
“Freedom is acquired by contest, not by gift. It must be pursued constantly and responsibly. Freedom is not an ideal located outside of man; nor is it an idea which becomes a myth. It is rather the indispensable condition for the quest of human completion.” Paulo Freire
